Ok, im not entirely sure what this could be.
It's something to do with the script and the way it opens .txt files.

I'm not at homw at the moment so i can't get to the source of the scripts at the moment, but i will have a look tomorrow :)

Ok, this is what i can work out:

Before the terms and conditions file is read into the textarea, the script looks to see what language is being used.

The language syntax is then checked to make sure that it isn't exploited to read other files into the textarea. This will stop people trying to read your config files and gaining important imformation.

This is the language syntax checker code:
[php]
function checkLangFormat($lang) {
if(preg_match("/^([a-z]{2,3})$/", $lang)) {
return TRUE;
} else {
die("Hacking attempt!!");
}
}
[/php]

This is why your textarea has been giving you the "Hacking Attempt!!" message.
You will need to check that your language syntax is correct to stop this error message appearing.

That said, i checked your site earlier and all was fine :)

You need to check the language setting for your software.
Make sure that it has the right characters and symbols in relation to the language file that may be in use.

Try a fresh install of the script. That might help.

Pluto, please don't post this here as well as PM me and use my personal website to contact me for help.
I will respond here if i am able to help, no where else.

Have you followed what i said in this topic previously?
Try downloading a fresh copy of the script from here: http://pphlogger.phpee.com/download.php

Make sure you download the correct version. If you use windows, get the .zip version.

Unzip the files and re-upload overwriting everything currently uploaded for your copy of pphlogger.

Follow the setup instructions again.
If that still fails, come back here with more details.

Postby pluto on Fri Nov 26, 2004 4:24 pm

Sorry for the contact...

I have download and installed the last release , but it doesn't work.
It doesn't work if a new user try to signup.

Yes I have read...

You say:"You will need to check that your language syntax is correct to stop this error message appearing. "

WHAT do you mean?

Open PHPMyAdmin, navigate to your PPHLogger database.
Find the table: pphl_settings.
Browse the table.

Find the entry called default_lang
What' value does that have?
