PPHlogger Code destroys W3C Markup

Postby masterofnothing on Tue Jan 29, 2008 9:34 pm

Good Evening,

My Site www.kostenlos-pokern-lernen.de was Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional!

Until I got the PPHlogger Code in it! :?

I inserted the following Code into the <body> Tag:
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="pphlogger.js"></script>
<noscript><img alt="" src="http://www.kostenlos-pokern-lernen.de/pphlogger/pphlogger.php?id=poker&amp;st=img"></noscript>

And here we go... Invalid! :cry:

I had been using the Board Search and Google but actually I found no answer. I think more people are having that problem, aren't they?

Here is the Report of the W3C Skript:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http% ... ne&group=1

Thank you very much for the help, I really want to use the pphlogger, but on the other hand I want a valid page :wink:

Regards vom Munich,
Stefan

As you are using valid xhtml 1.0 Transitional you alwas need to close all open tags for an example you have:

Code: Select all
<img alt="" src="http://www.kostenlos-pokern-lernen.de/pphlogger/pphlogger.php?id=poker&amp;st=img">

You need have it like this:
Code: Select all
<img alt="" src="http://www.kostenlos-pokern-lernen.de/pphlogger/pphlogger.php?id=poker&amp;st=img"/>

I think that will solve your problem as I have runned pphlogger for many years and all my pages is valid through w3

If you re-validate and before that mark the option: "Clean up Markup with HTML Tidy" you will see this part directly

We are located in Sweden not Finnland and its rental of seakayaks.

By the way, you should not have the pphlogger script in your head, put it just before the </body> in all pages you want to logg. Also be aware of to put the js file into the same directory as your pages.

Also an other tips, run your site through Firefox web browser they have very powerful plug-ins for validation. I saw that your site is not valid for several reasons.
