summarize Search-Bot Hits

Postby arne on Thu Nov 27, 2003 10:23 am

I just changed the log type from "js" to "phpjs". And of course I Am getting now several requests by search bots. But especially the googlebot searches from many different machines with different ip´s. And so I am getting a lot of one-entry-hits. It would be nice if all these hits of one day could be collected in one single entry to make the statistics a bit more viewable.
I would do it on my own, but I am not so familiar with PHP to do it :-(

Thanks
Arne

I just testet this code and it dont work.
the normal js works fine, but i want to see the search-enginebots.
<?
php$id = "xxxx-de";
define('PPHL_SCRIPT_PATH', '/home/www/webxxx/html/xxxx.de/stats/');
$st = 'phpjs';
// $showme = 'y';
include(PPHL_SCRIPT_PATH."pphlogger.php");
?>
The error comes on this line:
Parse error: parse error in /home/www/webxxx/html/xxx.de/xxx.php on line 101
which is the line of php$id = "xxxx-de";

can i solve this problem?

Thanks

Chgange the code to the following:
<?php
$id = "xxxx-de";
define('PPHL_SCRIPT_PATH', '/home/www/webxxx/html/xxxx.de/stats/');
$st = 'phpjs';
// $showme = 'y';
include(PPHL_SCRIPT_PATH."pphlogger.php");
?>
Notice the change there?
the php part had slipped to down to before the variable.
