password modification and resend welcome email

Postby lionel on Sat Nov 13, 2004 11:31 pm

I've had a few users who don't get the welcome email and therefore ask me to resend, which i can't i also can't log into their accoutn and change their password without knowing the one sent out in the welcome email, so i end up deleting the account and recreating it with my email and then forwarding it to them.

What would be nice is:

resend welcome email

change users password from admin side without knowing original password, maybe just have the password prompt like when deleting a user :)

i just stumbled across a little workaround for lost passwords, on the forgotten password page where users would enter their username and email, I can see both of these so i can send them a new password.

The last user who forgot their password also forgot their username

I still think it would be easier to have a "click here to reset password" link in the admin section :)
