Just wondered, since it's been a while anyone's asked, how version 3 is coming along? :)

Philip is taking a break so it's not likely to be released for a long while yet.

You mentioned he was on a break a while ago, hope he's ok!

I'm eager to see what he has in store for version 3 but there's no rush, this version works just fine :) ( if there's enough server resources ofcourse :))

Damn 2.2.5 has done so much for me !
I was able to track back new customers in real time and call them even while they were on my site -> "Youre on our website - really ? what a surprise ;) "
Cant wait for V3 ! Willing to pay for it !

cheers,

Well that was the reason why I go on this page :) Because now it's a long time ago that I heared about pphlogger.

What's the actual status of the project?

Thanks for answer my question and sorry for my bad english ;)

@lionel
sorry for my very late answer, i have over 1300 active accounts, and i am ervery few days deleting old, not activated accounts.

The software lags in logging pageimpressions, and a few other bugs. The latest bug is that you can no more switch on/off referrer.

for pphlogger3, i am really willing to pay for it, because i have to improve the service on eiswald.de in design, useability, needed resources of the software, and: to offer simply a better service (and a better software reduces the number of service requests to me  )

Iam also looking for a non opensource software, but its difficult to find what i need. So @Iezzi, possibly iam able to pay over 300 Euros.

with greetings from germany, opu.e

ps: still sorry for my bad english ;)

hi Opu

sorry i've been away for a while also.

i'm approaching 2000 active users now, with about 150 - 200 inactive acounts waiting to be deleted.

To deal with the issues i've split up my users into different subdomains, limiting each one to 1000 users which i've found to be able to handle things ok, apart from the page impressions, as you say, users who have a lot of page impressions have a lot of blank spaces. I have not had any problems with referrers.

i had a japanese porn site sign up who sent me 300,000 data packets a day  pphlogger really didn't like that haha

there aren't many non opensource which compare to pphlogger, i've researched many of them and decided i want to invest in improving pphlogger. It's code is old now, based on php3, it needs updating to improve speed and stability, and i have a good few ideas for new features, which i'm sure you also do.

I'm also prepared to pay around $300 , well i did have dollars in mind but i'm sure i could stretch to match that in euros.

opu i will pm you, i'm sure i saw someone else interested in investing in a new version.

I've very interested as well. Don't know if I quite have the means to fork up $300, but I would certainly pay for a top-notch script.

We appreciate your work Iezzi, or we wouldn't stop back so often looking for updates. :)
