I have a problem using the „PHP&JS“ combination.

The following does work:

...

etc.

But when I try instead

...

$id = "Bondzio";
define('PPHL_SCRIPT_PATH', 'http://www.bondzio.de/pphlogger/');
$st = 'phpjs';
// $showme = 'y';
include(PPHL_SCRIPT_PATH."pphlogger.php");
?>

etc.

then nothing gets logged.

Whats wrong here? Thanks for any hints.

Michael

The PHP&JS combination needs to have a relative path assigned to it, not a URL.

A relative URL looks like:

/home/user/public_html/pphlogger

This is all documented:
http://pphlogger.phpee.com/doc.html#imp_special

To use the PHP&JS combination, PPHLogger also needs to be on the same server as the site you are trying to log.

I think the reason the JS version is not working, is because you haven't uploaded a user specific version of pphlogger.js for the loggers use.

Once you have created your user account you need to login and navigate to Settings. You can download a pphlogger.js file from that page, which then needs to be uploaded to your server.
You can't use the generic pphlogger.js file included with the software as there are some variables inside it that need to be populated.

I read that manual, thats were I got the code. Tried all possible variants of the url. Now I tried once again this version:

$id = "Bondzio";
define('PPHL_SCRIPT_PATH', '/www/htdocs/v115383/pphlogger/');
$st = 'phpjs';
// $showme = 'y';
include(PPHL_SCRIPT_PATH."pphlogger.php");
?>

It doesn't work either.

It is on the same server.

Do you think so? But logging using the "standard implementation" does work. So I think the same pphlogger.js file should work with the "PHP&JS combination" too. Or am I wrong? Thank you.

What doesnt work about the PHP & JS combination?
Do you get any errors? etc etc

Thats the problem with the JS version, you need your own personal version of pphlogger.js uploaded. Try it and see.
