i recently changed my provider, my new hoster/server is now in the USA, in a timezone -8 hours. all my old pphlogs are now 8 hours early, the new ones show the right time.

does anybody know, how to change the old logs, how to add 8 hours to the unix timestamp ith a SQL query? i tried hard to find out, but couldn't find a way to achieve this...

tnx.

Change your timezone under your admin setup.
You can also change the timezone under "profile".

changing the timezone in the admin-section unfortunatly doesn't change the old entries made on the old server, in the european time zone.

in other words: i changed the time zone in the admin section, all new entries have the right timestamp, but all old entries that i imported from my old server have a timestamp 8 hours early.

the solution could be a sql-query that adds 8 hours to those entries. unfortunally i'm not speaking mySQL fluently enough to put that into a query myself.

Did you try changing the user timezone?

the user time-zone is not supposed to change, since not the user but the server has moved to another time zone .-)

if i do change the user time-zone, all that changes is the time displayed, making the old entries valid again, but the new entries and the "current time" false... so thats not really solving the problem.

thanks anyways for your help, david.

I guess you'll just have to live with the old entries being behind by a few hours.
