Hi Specialists !

I have some high useage accounts but my hosting supplier only allows me a certain amount of emails to be sent from the PHP mail function. On busy days, this can sometimes cause me to reach the mail limits resulting in a PHP error and new users not receiving their passwords. I would like to increase the default value of new accounts from 100 to 500 but I can't find where this is set in the database during new user signup !!
I know the DB var is called hit_mail but I cannot find where it is set to 100.

Please help !

Best Regards,
Mike.

As an addition to this, I must also prevent users from changing this value to a lower value in edUserprofile ! What would be the best way to do this ?

No worries about the second question. I solved it by adding the following line to edit_user.php:

if (intval($N_hit_mail) < 500){$N_hit_mail = "500";}

This would be nice as a feature for the setup function BTW !

You'd need to edit the SQL string that sets up the user DB table.
Open the following file: mysql/pphl_users.sql

Find:
Code:

hit_mail int(5) NOT NULL DEFAULT '100',

Change to the limit you want.

Thanks !

Is this sql ran evertime a new user signs up ?

It's using the 'create table' command so I thought this was just used for the original setup of the DB ? Or am I wrong ?

Sorry for wasting your time with the previous question... I really didn't think. I changed the Default value for hit_mail in the DB via mySQL admin.
