Hey guys,

been a while, summer hols Smile

ok, got a user who has a psp tutorial site, who gets traffic from tutoria directories.

From one site in specific, psplinks.com , when a user lands on her site the entry page doesn't get logged, only her domain.

Is there anything that comes to mind that may cause this.

How's it going David Smile

Hi Lionel,

It's been a while!

I think its going to be hard to say without actually looking at the stats themself and seeing how the tutorial directories refer to her site.
Do they use frames to "encase" her site, so theres still a way back to their site?
Does the end use have privacy software that may be blocking the referrer and other information?

Any more details, and URL's, that you can provide would be good.
PM me the info if you don't want to relay it here, details at the bottom of my signature Smile

David

Ok, having looked at the site, i think i know why this is happening.
In the User Profile, you have the site being logged as: http://www.url.com
All of the links from the other websites point to http://url.com

Try adding in http://url.com to the sites being logged and that should accept all incoming referrers Smile

hehe, well that's how we learn isn't it, through experience.
I barely have enough time to keep up with things, i've cut my holiday short because more work has come my way. (only managed to get 5 days of a planned 20 Crying or Very sad) oh well, can't turn work away though!

While i'm here, what would be involved in having the login fields on a separate page? cos at the moment i have an optimised index page and to login they have to access pphlogger's index page.

cheers Smile

Just setup a login form on teh page that you want them to login from.
Make the input names the same as those that are on the main pphlogger login form and point the forms action to the same location.

A search churns up this Wink

cheers David,

i'm afraid i've got myself confused, a user pointed it out to me but it's infact not the domains in which it's mispelt but under "territories" on the stats page.

cheers Smile
