It is now a known issue that many email interfaces online prevent the sending of .js files via email.
This is mainly to prevent viruses and other annoying emails from spreading but this also affects the sending out of the pphlogger.js file attachment to make pphlogger function.

Following are a couple of options that you can take to stop your users from not getting the .js file attachment:

1) From within the Admin side of pphlogger, switch the emailing system to "Plain". This won't send out the .js file meaning you will have to edit the newuser emails (messages/email_newuser_xx.txt) to tell them where to download the file from.

2) If for some reason the aboce doesn't work for you then modifiying the way in which emails are sent out via HTMLmime or Libmail is an option.
Please see the following URL for details on how to do this:
https://phpee.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8778#8778

3) If you don't want to let the user download the pphlogger.js file you can use the pphlogger.js.php file in there logger code instead.
Instead of them calling pphlogger.js their code would look something like so:
Code:

I hope these alternatives prove useful for some of you Smile

Thanks a lot David, for this great tutorial!

I'd just like to add one more thing that everybody should remember:

If you're using this option, please be aware that this will greatly increase your web-traffic! The generated pphlogger.js file will each time get loaded from your server instead of the user's own one. I'd just like to let you know about this. I don't want anybody shouting at me: "Hey, PPhlogger consumes my whole bandwith!!"

Login to the admin side of your PPHLogger installation and click on Setup.
Navigate through that and there is an option there.

I have to set email to text anyway to get email working at all
so I thought of a 3rd option.

INSTRUCTIONS:

[1] in order to confirm your new account, you need to login with the password that we've sent to your email address.
login !
If you don't confirm your account it will be deleted after 24 hrs
[2] upload the pphlogger.js-file that you've received as attachment.
[3] add the following HTML Code into all your files that you wish to get logged:

Just replace step 2 with a download link to the js file.

[2] Download pphlogger.js and then upload that file to your site

Also include the dowload link in the email. Can someone point out how to do this?

Andy
ps like the com I just found in deleteddomains?

I tried to navigate through the setup option to change it so that the code provided to the user would link the script from my site, and not ask them to download it but I never saw any option there. What option am I looking for?

Thanks,

John

Change the pphlogger.js part of the code to point to this file on your server:

pphlogger.js.php

You need to pass it an ID in order for it to work however:
pphlogger.js.php?id=USERNAME

Please open a new support thread if you need further help as i am closing this topic.
