Hi,

in Preferences there are 3 input boxes, I don't know how to use it.

All there are for filtering hits, that's obvious. But what can I filter with:

- Eigene Referrer
- Index#
- Short query?

Regards,

Kurt

1) Filters out certain referrers of your choosing.
2) treats files like index.html as / (To use it put index.html or index.php and so in this box)
3) Allows you to take certain parameters from the URLs that pphlogger will track. So say you want any page that has ?this=that to be treated as a seperate page to ?this=them

All of this is detailed in the manual, read it by following the link at the bottom of my signature.

Thank you for your answer!

Oh, I read it :=) But looking again using you link I looked for the keywords "filter" or "referrer" and did still not find any detail about this feature. But perhaps I am blind...

Do you mean with "treat": If a called URL contains the string which I typed in this box, this page hit will not treated as count?

Ahhh, that's a good feature, now I understand!

Is this right?:

To filter hit counts I do:

In "Referrer Sperren" I put the complete URL in the box.
In "index.* --> /" I put substrings of an URL in the box.
In "Short query" I put only one comlete query (variable name and value) in the box.

Please let me ask what the difference is of 1) to "Eigene Referrer"?

Kurt
