hey Smile

i've had several users want to put my counter on their secure pages but seeing as i don't have an SSL cert their visitors would get a warning. If i setup a new domain with a SSL cert would their users get an error message because they woudl infact be reading 2 certs, mine and my users cert.
I would really like to be able to offer this but from what i can see it just isn't possible Sad except if they don't get an error)

cheers Smile

I don't think it would be possible to be honest.
The secure page that they will be hosting will be calling a seperate script, which although it may be secure, the browser might not like.

You could try it, but it would be an expensive experiment if it failed!

I'm interested to learn any resolution to this. I have an SSL cert on my domain and still get an insecure item alert when the page comes up. I tried altering the full path to the counter with the following two examples:

No luck, nor with this:

Any ideas? I'd really love to see how many abandoned orders I get on teh payment page.

You'll need to make sure that you have your URL's setup correctly on the admin/setup.php script.
Make sure the URL's point to the secure location that your scripts have been uploaded to.

I havent had time to buy the cert yet, been way too busy at work.

aopchuck, are you still getting an unsecure warning or have you sorted it?
